The Write Tools Training Materials
Basic Training:
The Write Tools 101 binder is used extensively in our two-day basic training, so it is important for participants to have their own binder. During the training, teachers use the binders as workbooks - taking notes, analyzing student samples, and practicing strategies directly in the 3 ring binder. Here's a bonus! Participants don't have to worry about spoiling a page they might later want to copy for their students. At the back of the binder, we've put clean copies of key pages to be used as reproducibles for student handouts. How's that for teacher-friendly!
Advanced Training:
For our advanced training, each participant needs an additional small set of training materials we call modules. Currently, we have 8 modules available:
- Active Reading
- Multiparagraph/Compare & Contrast
- Primary/Level 1
- Personal Narrative
- Persuasive
- Imaginative Narrative
- Research and Reports
- Descriptive Writing
Each module can be popped in the back of the big TWT 101 binder received in basic training. We encourage participants to use these pages as a workbook, so we provide clean copies of critical pages at the back of each module.
