Whether your school embraces Academic State Standards, you know students must prove their competencies in different types of writing. In addition, they have to be able to glean critical information from text of all types and incorporate that in their writing, citing textual evidence along the way.

Whether you are a teacher wanting to be fully prepared to confidently deliver top-notch writing instruction, or an administrator wanting to preview potential training for your school or district, The Write Tools workshops are for you!

Who should attend public workshops?

      • Administrators who would like to experience The Write Tools training before committing funds to school-wide professional development.
      • Teachers who want to significantly improve student achievement and confidence in writing.
      • New Teachers entering a school already using The Write Tools.
      • Parents who home school or have a desire to learn strategies they can use to help their child in writing.
Public workshops are open to anyone interested in taking their writing instruction to the next level. Each workshop provides research-based, classroom-tested strategies that are clearly aligned to meet Academic Standards, and can be implemented in the classroom the very next day!
